Sometimes I think: Why would I go on taking photos? Today‘s ways of producing images reminds me of throw-away culture – shoot them, share them, forget them. The pictures of my parents are the opposite. With only a little narcissism but with a lot of ideas they documented their life. Photographs that are made to keep them and to look them up some time, not to show and send them to everyone. They have another quality, a different point of view. Using my parents‘ footage as canvas, I found my way into their memories.
